BEIXIAOYING TOWN, China (AP) -- Three Chinese were critically injured in an accident involving a bus from the athletes' village and a van on the way to the Olympic rowing park, according to the Australian Olympic Committee.
The accident happened Wednesday near the rowing park. No athletes were injured.
Australian rowing team spokesman David Pembroke said the injured Chinese were in the van.
Australian rowing team doctor Greg Lovell, a passenger on the bus, said three of the four people traveling in the van were critically injured in the "major" collision.
There were six people on the bus traveling to the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park. Lovell was the only one treated with a minor scrape on his knee.
