KHARTOUM, Sudan (AP) -- Sudan's government says the kidnappers of nine Chinese oil workers have killed five of the men.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ali Sadiq says two kidnapped workers managed to flee their abductors, while the remaining two are still captive.
The Chinese were kidnapped October 18 in southern Kordofan province -- home to much of Sudan's oil industry and adjacent to Darfur. Sadiq tells The Associated Press that five of them were killed Monday.
