LONDON (AP) -- Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says those behind the terrorist attacks in India must be brought to justice.
Speaking at a joint news conference in London with British Foreign Secretary David Miliband, Rice said nations victimized by terrorism need to do more than merely condemn the acts, and must cooperate to stop the terrorists.
She says world leaders must be committed and decisive in "following up whatever leads there are" and make sure "the people who perpetrated this act are brought to justice."
Earlier, Rice said Washington expects full cooperation from Pakistan with the investigations into the attacks in India's financial capital of Mumbai. She says U.S. diplomats are emphasizing to the Pakistanis "the need to follow the evidence wherever it leads."
Rice added that she doesn't want to jump to any conclusions, but called it "a time for complete, absolute, total transparency and cooperation."
Rice will travel to India later this week.
