Clashes break out as strike shuts down Greece

ATHENS, Greece (AP) -- Protesters have firebombed Athens' main courthouse as a fifth day of unrest creates havoc in Greece.

The clashes came as two police officers accused in the fatal shooting of a teen were testifying inside the court complex. The teen's shooting sparked riots over the weekend.

A general strike is paralyzing the country. The strike has shut down schools, public services, hospitals and flights. It's also putting more pressure on the fragile conservative government of Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis.

The strike by Greece's two largest labor unions was scheduled before the riots broke out.
