TOULOUSE, France (AP) -- A rabbi and his two small sons are dead, along with another child, after a gunman on a motorcycle opened fire today in front of a Jewish school in the French city of Toulouse (tuh-LOOS').
It's at least the third deadly motorcycle shooting in France in a week. Prosecutors are studying possible terrorist links.
Investigators want to know if the shooting is connected to the two deadly shooting attacks in the same region last week that killed three French paratroopers and left another seriously injured. French media reported that the paratroopers were of Arab origin.
France's president is ordering increased security at Jewish and Muslim buildings around Toulouse. His prime minister is ordering officials to "secure" all school and religious buildings in France.
France has the largest Jewish community in western Europe, and also the largest Muslim population there.
