KNOXVILLE (WVLT) -- The touchdowns didn't count and the bands didn't play, but scores of East Tennessee high school football teams took the field Friday night to participate in final preparations for the 2010 season.
Jamborees in Knox, Blount, Sevier and Roane Counties got players, coaches and fans ready for the fall festivities.
The Fulton Falcons appeared to be in midseason form in their tilt with Karns, part of the KOC Kickoff Classic at Neyland Stadium. Buck Coatney's team ripped apart the Beaver defense for 34 points in one quarter en route to a 34-0 win.
West and CAK engaged in a defensive struggle. The Rebels edged the Warriors, 3-2, thanks to a game-winning field goal. Bearden and South-Doyle played to a scoreless tie, while Gibbs beat Central, 7-0.
