KODAK, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Smokies have added right handed pitcher Tyrelle Harris to the active roster and placed lefty Jeremy Papelbon on the disabled list.
The Double-A minor league affiliate of the Chicago Cubs made the move to accommodate the acquisition of Harris, picked up from the Atlanta Braves Wednesday after the Cubs traded first baseman Derrick Lee.
Harris was one of three pitchers Chicago received in the deal.
In 30 appearances between three levels of the Braves farm system this year, he went 1-2 with a 2.90 ERA.
Harris, who was a member of the 2008 and 2009 University of Tennessee baseball teams, has yet to allow a home run at any level this season.
The Cubs also acquired right-hander Robinson Lopez and left-hander Jeffrey Lorick.
