MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Morristown West and Fulton earned season-opening wins Saturday at the Citizen Tribune Kickoff Classic in Morristown.
The Trojans edged Austin-East, 24-19, in a game marred by penalties and sloppy play. Mo West led 24-7 in the second half before the Road Runners stormed back, scoring with just over three minutes remaining. But a late fumble secured the win for the Trojans.
Fulton had little trouble dispatching of Morristown East. The Falcons scored on each of their first four drives, routing the Hurricanes 34-6 thanks to a balanced attack and stifling defense.
