Tennessee Volunteers vs Mississippi State Game will be Televised

KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) Good news for Vol fans. You will be able to see the University of Tennessee battle Mississippi State on television.

The Vol Network reached an agreement with Mississippi State early Wednesday to televise the Oct 13th game on a pay-per-view basis.

Sources say this marks only the second time in their history they have been able to clear a conference game on the road for pay-per-view.

However, the homecoming game against Louisiana-Lafayette on November 3rd, which was originally scheduled for pay-per-view, will now go untelevised, because of contractual agreements with the SEC & its preferred broadcast networks.

Stay connected to Volunteer TV News and volunteertv.com for more details on this developing news story.

A reminder, Volunteer TV & MyVLT2 are the official flagship station for the Vol Network and you home for complete pre-game and post-game Tennessee Football coverage.

Tonight, come out to Turkey Creek as your Volunteer TV Sports Overtime Team broadcasts LIVE, and previews the Georgia game, from 7-8 pm.

I am proud of the University of Tennessee football team and their coaches. I personally can not wait till next season; although I think we are bowl bound. We beat Alabama; maybe not in score, but in all the other faucets of the game. I am glad to see the player finally learn the system. If you watch the first two running touch down in the last game we looked like a pro team. The blocking and running were professional to say the least. I just became a huge Kippen fan, and their coaching staff. Keep up the great work guys. You are the best team in America with lots more to come.

This freakin sucks for those who don't have PPV. But congratulations (and I do mean that) for those in Knoxville who get to see it on VolsNetwork. I live in the Nashville area so I won't be able to see the game.
