JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WVLT) -- The Jacksonville Suns ended the Tennessee Smokies' season two games short of a Southern League title Saturday, winning 1-0 to claim their second straight league championship with a 3-1 series win.
The Smokies, who held the league's best regular-season record, were shut out for the second consecutive night. Bill Dancy's team won the first game of the series, but dropped the final three to end its season as league runner-up for the second year in a row.
