SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Sevier County scored 21 first-quarter points and rolled to a 28-12 win over Morristown West in the State Farm Rivalry Thursday Game of the Week at the Smoky Bears' home stadium.
The Smoky Bears (4-2) scored three first-quarter touchdowns and never looked back, cruising to their fourth win of the season.
Danny Chastain opened the scoring with a touchdown pass to Bryant Gibson, then added to their tally with an interception return by Josh Johnson.
Morristown West (3-3) responded with a long touchdown pass to J.T. Ostrowski to make the score 14-6, but a scoring toss to Brett Pippin opened the game up, 21-6.
