KNOXVILLE (WVLT) -- Tennessee forward Josh Tabb broke a bone near his eye socket during practice Tuesday and must have surgery to fix the injury. He is expected to miss at least a week and a half, according to information gathered by the Knoxville News-Sentinel, WVLT's media partner.

Tabb was defending an inbounds pass when he took an accidental hit to the face by newcomer J.P. Prince. He lay on the floor for a few minutes before heading to the bench to receive care.

Tabb was a key defensive contributor for the Vols last season, and said at media day Tuesday he has also been improving his offensive play.
