Central High Coach Helton Hospitalized, To Miss West Game

Knoxville (WVLT) -- Volunteer TV Sports Overtime has learned that long time Central High coach Joel Helton has been hospitalized and will not be on the sidelines for tonight's big game against West.

Coach Helton was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday with a blood clot in his leg.

He underwent bypass surgery three years ago.

With a playoff spot on the line, Defensive Coordinator Jeff McMillian will take over as head coach for the game.
