Trial Date Set For Former UT Football Player

Knoxville (WVLT) - A judge has set a trial date for a former UT walk-on football player facing drug charges.

Authorities say in June, they pulled over 21-year-old Justin Jackson and found him in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana.

Jackson is a former West High School and Maryville College stand-out.

Shortly after Jackson's arrest, head coach Phillip Fulmer announced he was no longer on the team.

Jackson is expected to stand trial January 17th.
