(WVLT) -- Clemson offensive coordinator Rob Spence, a candidate for the Tennessee offensive coordinator position, will stay at Clemson, GoVolsXtra is reporting. Spence reportedly told Tigers head coach Tommy Bowden that he will remain on staff.
Spence is in his third year as offensive coordinator at Clemson. According to GoVolsXtra, he makes $207,000 per year, a figure which is likely less than he would have received at UT.
Spence's Tigers take on Auburn in the Chik-Fil-A Bowl on New Year's Eve.
