(WVLT) -- Once the NFL draft ends, the free agent signings being.
While three Vols were selected over the weekend in the NFL draft, at least four more will get free agent tryouts.
All-SEC safety Jonathan Hefney will head to Tampa Bay and work out for the Buccaneers. Cleveland came to terms with two Tennessee lineman--offensive lineman Eric Young and defensive end Xavier Mitchell. And tight end Chris Brown has signed a free agent deal with Jacksonville.
During the draft, the Patriots selected linebacker Jerod Mayo with the tenth overall pick.
In the third round, Brad Cottam was taken by Kansas City, and in the fifth round, the New York Jets drafted quarterback Erik Ainge.
