KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The usual Friday Night Lights were moved to Thursday night for several teams with 4 high school games taking place.
The Rivalry Thursday game pitted Lenoir City against Kingston. Panthers quarterback Mason Sharpe led the way with 5 total touchdowns (4 rushing, 1 passing) as Lenoir City rolled to a 43-6 win.
In a well anticipated match up it was all Carter as the Hornets played host to South-Doyle. Carter led 21-10 at the half before blowing it open in the Third quarter, scoring twice and forcing a pair of fumbles. The Hornets improved to 5-0 with a 44-10 win.
Alcoa and Heritage renewed their rivalry for the first time since 2004. The Tornadoes wasted no time getting on the board, scoring on the third play of the game and then again on the first play of their second series. Alcoa won easily 42-7.
Clinton and Karns were locked in a battle that would go down to the end with the Dragons scoring in the final minute to win 32-27. Clinton quarterback Tyler Thackerson continued to impress, throwing 4 touchdown passes in the game.
