4-Star running back says he wants to be a Vol

Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) -- 4-Star running back Derrell Scott out of Havelock, North Carolina says he wants to be a Vol, picking UT over the Gamecocks and Gators. The 5'11" Scott, who's listed as the number three overall player at his position and number 6 prospect in the Tar Heel state, says he picked the Vols because of the prospects of playing early and because of coach Jones and his staff.
Scott rushed for over six thousand yards, 88 touchdowns and averaged 10 yards per carry during his prep career. Scott becomes the 24th commitment for UT's 2014 signing class. National signing day is set for February 5th.
