Detroit (AP) -- Three television stations are reporting that former Michigan football coach Bo Schembechler died today at the age of 77. He fell ill during the taping of a television show and was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
Schembechler's death is being reported by Detroit stations WXYZ, WDIV and WJBK, which did not cite sources.
Schembechler died a day before the second-ranked Wolverines are scheduled to meet number-one Ohio State in the latest installment of their century-old rivalry.
