Tennessee Softball Player Takes Home Weekly SEC Honors

SEC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tonya Callahan, Tennessee, 1B

Led the Tennessee offense to a doubleheader sweep of No. 1 Alabama and the school's first SEC regular season title by hitting .833 (5-of-6) with her team-high 10th home run of the season and six RBI while also being intentionally walked twice on the day...In the opener, she was 3-for-4 with a season-high five RBIs against Crimson Tide ace Chrissy Owens...The Holden, Mo., native registered a two-RBI single, a two-RBI double and an RBI base knock in the 9-2 rout...In the 4-0 DH clincher, Callahan was 2-of-2 with a solo HR, a run scored and a walk...Ended Sunday having reached base eight consecutive times by hit, intentional walk or being struck by a pitch for an .889 on-base percentage...Callahan slugged at a 1.500 clip.

SEC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Kasi Carroll, Georgia, P

Carroll posted a perfect 2-0 record and a 0.47 ERA against No. 4 LSU this past weekend. The senior right-hander lifted Georgia to its fifth consecutive series win over the Tigers on Sunday after hurling nine scoreless frames, striking out nine. Carroll also earned the game one win after scattering one earned run in 6.0 innings of work. Saturday's victory marked Carroll's 90th career win. Carroll and the Bulldogs became the first Southeastern Conference team to take a series from LSU in 2007.

SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Molly Johnson, Kentucky, 3B

Johnson led the Wildcats with a .444 average in the three-game series with No. 20 Florida ... She had a team-best five RBI over the weekend and posted a 1.000 slugging percentage ... She doubled and homered in the extra-inning loss that was played over two days due to a rain-suspended game ... Johnson had two doubles in the series to tie the UK school record with 66 as a team ... She also finished the season as the team-leader with 11 two-base hits ... Johnson had four hits in the series and ends the year with a three-game hitting streak ... Johnson is third on the team with a .340 batting average, led the team with 11 doubles and was third on the team with seven home runs this season ... Her 32 runs scored were third on the team and her 36 RBI ranked her third, as well.
