Knoxville,TN (WVLT) -- UT football signee Ray Sykes will not be attending the University of Tennessee this fall as he and the team previously hoped.
Sykes now becomes the first academic casualty from a very talented '07 signing class for the Big Orange.
Sykes, who excelled on the defensive line at Alcoa, helped lead the Tornadoes to a third straight state Class-2A championship this past season.
Sykes will now attend Coffeyville Community College in Kansas, where he'll join another former Alacoa standout and fellow UT signee Dustin
Lindsey.
