The University of Tennessee and Host Communications/Vol Network proudly announce the arrival of the latest product from Vol Network Home Entertainment. "We're Back!", the highly anticipated story of the 2006-07 Tennessee basketball team on DVD is available now at participating JCPenney stores across the state of Tennessee.
In this new video, Head Coach Bruce Pearl and the Vol Network's Bob Kesling sit mid-court at venerable Stokely Athletic Center and recall key victories and big moments from the 2006-07 season. The storyline for Tennessee's 2006-07 campaign is a compelling one.
After a fantastically successful first year under Coach Bruce Pearl, the Vols were faced with the sobering reality of having to replace more losses than any other school in the Southeastern Conference. Pearl and his staff developed and molded a masterful mix of key returning lettermen, including SEC Player of the Year Chris Lofton, with an influx of talented freshmen to pile up the second-most wins in Tennessee basketball history and a berth in the NCAA's Sweet 16.
Along the way the Vols beat impressive non-conference foes like Memphis, Oklahoma State and Texas and posted wins over nationally-ranked conference rivals Florida, Vanderbilt and Kentucky. This season retrospective features game action, play-by-play and commentary from Vol Radio Network broadcasts along with behind the scenes and locker room footage.
In addition to the main title, the video is loaded with tons of bonus features including:
• The special ceremony honoring Bernard King
• Special features from the "Bruce Pearl TV Show"
• In-depth interview with senior Dane Bradshaw
• Bruce Pearl body paint at the Lady Vols-Duke game and Pat Summitt singing Rocky Top
• Priceless interview as John Ward interviews Bernard King
• Behind the scenes at the 2007 NCAA Tournament
"Tennessee Basketball 2006-07 - We're Back!" is presented by Rarity Communities. Media partners are WIVK and The Sports Animal, WBIR-TV and the Knoxville News-Sentinel. It is available at participating JCPenney stores and the Vol Network Store online at www.volnetwork.tv.
