KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT-TV), Reports had former Vol Kevin Steele leaving Clemson to become the Vol defensive coordinator, but Tiger Illustrated out of South Carolina is now saying Steele will stay put. That news also confirmed by our CBS affiliate in Columbia, WLTX. Tennessee was reportedly set to double Steele's salary to 750,000 dollars a year.
One guy the Vols new defensive coordinator won't get to coach is Dennis Rogan. Rogan has joined fellow defensive back Eric Berry as Tennessee juniors to make themselves eligible for the April NFL draft. That according to a list of names released by the national Football league on Tuesday.
The Fulton standout finished fourth on the team in tackles, recovered three fumbles and grabbed one interception this past season.
Running back Montario Hardesty, offensive tackle Chris Scott and defensive tackle Dan Williams are UT seniors invited to the upcoming NFL combine.
