(Sports Overtime) -- If former Tennessee baseball coach Rod Delmonico was wanting to get away from Tennessee, mission accomplished. Delmonico is headed to China.
According to Delmonico's attorney, Terry Adkins, Major League Baseball has hired the ex-Vols coach and will have him travel to China to help create a baseball institute. He's set to leave August first.
There have been reports that Delmonico was taking a volunteer coaching position at Florida State, but Adkins says that Delmonico isn't doing that at this time, adding that he's still looking for a head coaching job.
Delmonico is a former FSU assistant, and his son, Tony, recently transferred there.
