Five Tennessee football players represented the Vols football staff in donating four boxes of Adidas cleats to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Knoxville.
The presentation of two different styles of cleats was made at the organization's Knoxville headquarters, after which the student-athletes stayed around to play basketball with the kids and answer questions about their college football experience.
"A few of the kids had several questions about how they started playing football, how long they have been playing, what they eat and what they do to prepare for games," said Kyrah McCowan, UT graduate assistant for community relations. "Our guys had a good afternoon and the kids really seemed to enjoy the experience."
Players in attendance Tuesday were Robert Ayers, Montario Hardesty, Arian Foster, Xavier Mitchell and Inquoris Johnson, along with Tennessee's Adidas representative, Dan Moye.
