Smokies and Mudcats suspended by rain

Sevierville, TN – Tuesday's game between the Tennessee Smokies and Carolina Mudcats was suspended in the bottom of the third inning due to heavy rain with the score tied 1-1. This game will be completed on Wednesday July 25th beginning at 5:15 pm, with this game being played through the full nine innings. Game 2 of the double-header will begin 30 minutes after the completion game, and will be a seven-inning game. Gates open at 4:30 pm at Smokies Park.
Chicago Cubs pitcher Wade Miller will take the mound for the Smokies in the completion game for a rehabilitation start, with Mark Holliman (7-8, 3.08) starting for Tennessee in Game 2. The Mudcats starting pitchers are to be determined.
Tickets from tonight’s game are redeemable as rainout tickets for an equal value ticket for any remaining 2007 Smokies regular season home game. Call the Smokies ticket office for more information.
