Knoxville Ice Bears' Coach Resigns

KNOXVILLE (WVLT) - Knoxville Ice Bears coach Jim Bermingham has resigned, the hockey team announced today.

Bermingham led the Ice Bears for four seasons. Under his tenure the team won the 2005-6 Southern Professional Hockey League title. Last season the Ice Bears made the SPHL semifinals, where they lost in two games to the Fayetteville Fireantz.

The Ice Bears' 2007-8 season begins in late October.
