KODAK, Tenn. (SUBMITTED) -- The first-half Southern League North Division champion Tennessee Smokies will host the first two games of the Southern League North Division Series at Smokies Park September 9 and 10. Playoff tickets for these games will be available for purchase starting this Friday, July 2, at 10:00 a.m. via the team’s Web site at www.smokiesbaseball.com, at the Smokies Park ticket office or by calling the Smokies front office at (865) 286-2300.
Both games are scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m. Game 3 will be played at the venue of the winner of the North Division’s second half. Games 4 and/or 5, if necessary, will also be played at the second-half North Division champion. If the Smokies win the North Division in the second half, they would host these two final games of the first round series, if necessary.
The winner of this series will face the winner of the Southern League South Division Series between the Jacksonville Suns, the first-half South Division champions, and the second-half South Division champion, in the 2010 Southern League Championship Series.
