Cortland, NJ. (ESPN.com), An ESPNNewYork.com report sights a source as saying former Vol Erik Ainge has entered a facility for substance abuse.
Ainge was placed on the resrved/non-injured list last week by the Jets, who have also signed veteran quarterback Mark Brunell.

Reports say Ainge missed several crucial weeks during OTA's in April of 2009 while he was being treated for a problem with prescription drugs, that according to multiple sources.

Ainge reportedly tweeted on Monday that he wished he could be with his Jets teammates in Cortland, New Jersey. The tweet read,
"I am taking some personal time to address a non-football related illness," he wrote. "Thank you for all the love, thoughts, and concerns. I love you all."

Ainge was drafted out of Tennessee back in 2008 and last season backed up Mark Sanchez along with Kellen Clemens and Brett Ratliff.
