Knoxville, Tenn. -- (VolQuest.com) Tennessee's Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Dave Hart confirmed to Vol Quest Tuesday night that Tennessee will break out the Smokey grey uniforms again this season. Hart also stated that, even though this is the Big Orange's last season with Adidas, alternative uniforms have not been ruled out.
"We will still do the one alternate," said Hart, in confirming the additional uniform option in the Vols' eight-year, $35-million deal with Nike. "I think most people will continue to do that. But no we won't be [some programs with several]. We won't be that."
There was talk about breaking out Smokey grey helmets as well; Hart proclaimed that it could be a possibility for the helmets to make an appearance this season.
