Art Evans suspended for Memphis game

Evans suspended for violation of team rules

Georgia’s A.J. Green (8) dives into the end zone after a 15-yard run Saturday as Tennessee’s Art Evans (25) tries to bring him down.

Knoxville (WVLT-TV), University of Tennessee cornerback Art Evans missed football practice yesterday for "personal reasons". Friday it was announced that Evans would also not be making the trip with the team to West Tennessee.
UT Spokesman Jimmy Stanton has confirmed that Evans has been suspended for the Memphis game for a violation of team rules.
The Junior has actually missed two practices over the past couple weeks.
A starter earlier in the season, Evans has struggled at times and has been used more of late in nickel situations.
There's no word as of yet if the situation Evans is facing could jeopardize his eligibility.
Our media partner GoVolsxtra reports the situation is tied to a vehicle purchased by Evans back in the Spring, a vehicle he hasn't been making payments on.
