MIAMI, Fla. (WVLT) -- East Tennessee-native Chad Pennington was injured Sunday on just the second play of the Miami Dolphins game against the Tennessee Titans.
Pennington, a 1995 graduate from the Webb School of Knoxville was named Miami’s starting quarterback earlier this week. He had only attempted two passes all season prior to Sunday’s game.
It appears he injured his right throwing arm or shoulder. The injury came as he followed through on a pass and hit his arm on the back of his left tackle.
Former Dolphins starting quarterback Chad Henne replaced Pennington before being replaced himself.
Pennington did not return.
