Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT-TV), The annual Big orange Caravan is back on the road and it made it's first stop this spring tonight in Memphis.
UT coaches Cuonzo Martin, Holly Warlick and new head football coach Butch Jones were on hand to visit with alumni and fans about their respective programs.Certainly on the minds of basketball fans was the sudden departure from the program of veteran point guard Trae Golden. Coach Martin addressed that topic with the local media on hand:
"...Anytime you lose a Senior, a very talented player, a guy that won big games for you, played in a lot of exciting games for you. As a coach at Tennessee I won 39 games with Trae Golden. So he's a big part of what we did as a program, and then moving forward because he helped in a lot of ways. And we just wish Trae Golden the best."
The Caravan continues next Thursday with an appearance down in Chattanooga. Other stops will include Kingsport, Atlanta and Nashville.
