KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)--With a 3-1 record, Vols fans say UT needs to get to 4 wins tonight.
"It's really important. It will help us see where we're at with our team. We're still a young team. I think Coach Dooley's doing a wonderful job. And I really think that our Vols can win it," said Janie Lanham.
Another fan, Mark Kollias, agreed, "It's a big indicator for the SEC East race. If we can come out and scratch our way to a win, that would be huge."
Huge for the SEC and for Derek Dooley, still looking for that signature win. Fans like UT's chances.
"We got the home field atmosphere, that will definitely be a big competitive advantage. And I think Tyler Bray's playing some real good ball right now," Kollias said.
Good ball. Good food. Good drinks; the essentials of any game day. Some tailgaters set up on the Strip and around Neyland late Friday night. But like a football game, they know it's a four quarter event.
"It's a marathon, not a sprint."
The game kicks off at 7pm.
