Greater Knoxville Sports HOF to induct 10 members Thursday

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The 32nd Annual Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony will feature NASCAR Driver Jeff Gordon as a speaker. The ceremonies will take place July 11 at the Knoxville Convention Center.

Highlighting this years induction class is former United States Olympian Bill Schmidt. Schmidt was the last American man to medal in the javelin which he did at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich.

Hospitality: 5:00 p.m.
Dinner: 5:45 p.m.
Induction Ceremony: 7:15 p.m.
