MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Maryville football is on an incredible run. A run that has ended in the state title game each of the last ten years, with the Rebels winning 7 of those championship games.
With a defense that is as talented and deep as head coach George Quarles has had at Maryville, there's no reason to think Maryville won't be strong enough to make it eleven straight title game appearances.
The Rebels return their entire front seven, including Tennessee commitment defensive end Dylan Jackson. Maryville is replacing three starters in the secondary, but Quarles is confident that they have players that will step and get the job done.
On offense, six starters are back, but quarterback John Garrett is gone, giving Quarles his third different starting QB in three years. Tyler Vaught will start the season as Maryville's signal caller.
