KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - After winning just one game combined over the 2009-2010 seasons South-Doyle has posted back-to-back seven win seasons. The Cherokees feel now is the time for a deep playoff run.
South-Doyle is loaded with athleticism and talent. Led by UT commit Joc Bruce at running back, South-Doyle returns 17 total starters combined on both sides of the ball. Head coach Clark Duncan has the 'Kees poised for the playoffs.
The players are confident heading into the season when they look at their roster. "We've got a lot of talent, plus a lot of experience. It's the same guys returning from last year. It's pretty much everybody," says quarterback Brody Rollins.
Jocquez Bruce agrees. "There's talent all over the field. We've got a lot of veterans on the team, so we know what it takes to get there. We've just got to do it."
South-Doyle opens on the road at Heritage.
