CTK: King's Academy Lions

Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Matt Lowe has the Lions ready to roar! Bolstered by a solid 5-5 season a year ago, King's feels they have the talent to make a move. Several players are getting looks from Division 1 colleges.

With seven returning starters on offense and a better understanding of the system, King's Academy has a new mentality says Coach Lowe,"They're here to win football games. They're no longer here to play football games and be a part of something. They're here to win and see if they can't be that first team to ever make the playoffs to represent the Kings Academy."

Linebacker Zane Sutherland added, "We're talking about changing the mentality around our school. Traditionally King's wasn't a winning school. We're trying to change that and I think we've got a good start of that last year and just take that next step this year."

The Lions open the season in week zero with a road game at Sunbright.
