Campbell County's Wells let go as football coach

LAFOLLETTE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Dewayne Wells is out as Campbell County's head football coach.

Campbell County High School principal Robbie Heatherly confirmed to Sports Overtime Friday afternoon that Wells is "no longer our football coach."

Wells coached the Cougars for ten years, taking the school to all three of its playoff births. Campbell County went 1-9 in 2010.

Heatherly said Wells is still employed by the school system. Wells teaches business education.
