KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Carter High School head coach Heath Woods has been released from the hospital.
Woods was taken to the hospital last Thursday, during Carter's game against Grace Christian.
Carter athletic director Chad Smith wasn't able to go into details about Woods' situation, but did classify it as a serious medical condition.
Smith did tell Local 8 Sports that Woods is moving in a positive direction health wise. Smith also said that Woods remains Carter's head coach.
A timetable for his return to the sideline is not yet known.
The Green Hornets host Grainger this Friday night.
