Carter's Woods up for Titans Coach of the Week award

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Carter head coach Heath Woods is one of four nominees for this week's Titans High School Coach of the Week Award.

The Green Hornets are coming off a dominating 50-6 win Friday night against Austin-East.

The win moved Carter to 4-0.

Carter's success comes after Woods suffered a stroke early in the 2012 season. He's fully recovered and the Green Hornets are now off to their best start since 2006.

The other nominees are Joe Case of Mosheim’s West Greene High School, Tony Brunetti of Pearl-Cohn High School and Tab Vowell of Jackson North Side High School.
