SEVIERVILLE (WVLT) -- The Sevier County Smoky Bears experienced bittersweet seasons in 2009 and 2010. This year, they're hoping to eliminate the sour taste of premature postseason losses.
The Smoky Bears rolled to a 10-0 regular season two years ago, only to lose to Bearden in overtime in the first round of the 6A playoffs.
Last year, it was Farragut ending Sevier's season in the round of 32, after Steve Brewer's team went 8-2 in its first ten games.
Eleven starters return for the Smoky Bears, including seven on offense. Such veteran presence should provide stability and motivation as the boys from Sevierville look to climb further up the postseason ladder.
