Defensive back Riyahd Jones inks with Vols

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Defensive back Riyahd Jones has signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at Tennessee.

Jones becomes the first signee for new Vols' head coach Butch Jones.

Jones is a 6'0", 185 pound defensive back. He comes to Tennessee via Garden City Community College in Kansas. He will have two years of eligibility with the Vols.

Jones, a native of Columbus, Georgia, is a Rivals 3-star prospect.

He's ranked the No. 18 junior-college cornerback in the 247Composite for the 2013 class. Jones will bring speed to Tennessee's secondary, as he's been timed at 4.49 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
