Dooley pleased with Vols' improvement in scrimmage

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennessee coach Derek Dooley says the Volunteers' effort, toughness, discipline and execution improved in their second scrimmage of spring practice.

Dooley says the offensive performance was especially better Saturday after a poor outing in the April 2 scrimmage.

Tyler Bray completed his first eight passes and finished the day 17-for-30 with 258 yards, four touchdowns and an interception. Da'Rick Rogers caught six passes for 120 yards and a touchdown, and Justin Hunter added 77 yards and a touchdown on five catches.

Tauren Poole ran 13 times for 70 yards, and Rajion Neal had 53 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.

Shane Reveiz logged nine tackles and a fumble recovery. Dontavis Sapp returned an interception for a touchdown and had three pass breakups and three tackles.
