KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Believe it or not, the Lady Vols basketball season is here.
The ladies hosted Carson-Newman in an exhibition game. While it was the game that drew the crowd to the arena, Tuesday night belonged to Coach Pat Summitt.
And believe it or not, it came from the opposing team. The Lady Eagles warmed up in "We Back Pat" shirts, then put them back on at the end as they shook hands.
"I thought it was a really neat gesture for all the Carson-Newman players to have 'We Back Pat' shirts on," said Assistant Coach Holly Warlick. "And to see those kids do that and come up to Pat afterwards, that's special to see. That's the impact Pat has not only around the country, but right up the road here in Tennessee."
It's a tribute you'll undoubtely see a lot more of this season.
