KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)--Being coached by NFL stars is every young football player's dream, and Saturday in West Knoxville that dream came true for dozens of kids. The Johnny Long Training Academy held a one day instructional camp run mostly by former Vols.

"What I love to see is the kids just working and having fun, and really being into it," said one of the coaches, Al Wilson.

Organizers put the camp together in honor of former Vol Harry Galbreath, who died last summer from a blood clot.

"He came to work every day with a passion and a love for every athlete."

Before he worked as a strength and conditioning coach for UT, Galbreath was an All American lineman who went on to a career in the NFL.

Camper and family friend Zach Stuart said, "he was a heck of a guy out there on the football field."

But those who knew him say it was Galbreath's contributions off the field that they remember most. Former teammate Raleigh McKenzie said, "he always helped everybody. That's where his nickname came from, 'Harry Love'."

That's why about 50 other past Tennessee players coached the clinic; touching young lives the way "Love" touched theirs.

"I'm learning a whole lot from all these great football players and all these good coaches," said Stuart.

"That's what they come here for, to get not only football lessons but get a few lessons in life as well, as far as focusing, dedication, and hard work."

Proceeds from the camp will go to a scholarship fund in Galbreath's name.
