Former Lady Vol, Doepking, named head coach at Dartmouth

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) Dartmouth softball has named former Tennessee catcher Shannon Doepking as head catch. She previously served as the head coach of Amherst College.

“She was a very intelligent and instinctive player as well as a terrific field general, qualities that serve her well as a head coach. She understands that the student comes ahead of the athlete and is a great fit for Dartmouth," said her former head coach Karen Weekly.

During her career at Tennessee, Doepking helped the Lady Vols to a 246-46 record from 2005-08, including three consecutive College World Series from 2005-07.
