Fulton falls at state to Jackson South Side, 53-39

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Fulton's season came to an end Thursday night in the Class AA quarterfinals with a 53-39 loss to Jackson South Side.

The Falcons had a cold shooting night, hitting just 33 percent of their field goals.

On the flip side, South Side was hot, connecting on over fifty percent of its shots.

Fulton's Kelvin Jackson led all scorers with 17 points.

Thursday's game marked Fulton's 20th appearance at the boys' state tournament. Head coach Jody Wright has guided the Falcons to 14 of those trips.

Fulton ends the year with a 24-9 record.
