Maryville jumped out to a 24-0 lead over Oak Ridge on State Farms Rivalry Thursday game before cruising to a 38-23 win. The Rebels are 5-0 on the season.
The South-Doyle used a strong effort from their defense and special teams to down Carter 23-0. The Cherokees are 5-0 for the first time in school history.
An early interception return TD got Central started off on the right foot as they held on for a 27-20 win over Hardin Valley.
The Powell Panthers improved to 5-1 with a 21-7 victory over Karns.
