Pensacola, FL--(WVLT) Now 3-0 in the post-season, the Knoxville Ice Bears seem to be hitting their stride at just the right time. The team opened up the SPHL semifinal playoff series with the Ice Flyers Thursday night down in Pensacola and came away with a big road win.
the Bears got a second period goal from Ben Souders and a third period goal from David Seagal to win 2-0.
Those scores would prove to be more than enough for goalie Bryan Hince who turned away 52 Ice Flyers shots. The win also snapped the Ice Flyers’ 13-game winning streak.
The Ice Bears can sweep the best of three series with a win Saturday night at the Civic Coliseum in Knoxville. Opening face-off is set for 7:30pm.
